TKB Trading Haul

My long awaited TKB Trading order finally came in today. I placed the order on 19 March and today is 4 April. It took long because my paypal payment took long process. :-(

I have to be honest I was disappointed when I saw how much were in the sample bags. This is because most of the TKB Trading hauls on YouTube had much more than what I got. They say they got more that 20 grams while I weighted mine, and they're from 8 to 10 grams each except for Virgo that was 1 teaspoon, and that was boy not much. :-(

I made a video to show you my haul. Here it is:

Come back to see the pictures.

How much pigments did you have in your baggie?
If you don't have them yet, which ones do you fancy?

MAC Surf! Baby Collection 2011

While reading blogs this morning, I came across this article. It's about MAC's Surf Baby Collection for 2011 and I must say, wow! It's full of really lovely colors.
It will be launched on 26 May, 2011 in the U.S.A and in June for the rest of the world.
I will be in London then as I will be on my internship.
But by looking at what the collection is going to comprise of, I already have my favorites that I would love to have.
They are...
This is just simply irresistible.
This blush is called My Paradise. It's a coral with gold flower-accent shade.

...and these simply because I'm a pigment addict.
They are a stash of Crushed Metallic Pigments.

I've already marked my calendar and can't wait to have them.

For more product information and pictures, please refer to my sources here and here.

So which ones will you be getting?

My Favorite YouTube Gurus

I must admit that I am a YouTube Makeup Community addict. That means I watch YouTube videos more than I watch t.v. Strange, huh?!
But watching them just makes me learn about new makeup products, brands, and ideas.
You might not know but makeup is one thing that really makes me happy!
This might come as a surprise to you, but I am not subscribed to a lot of the so called gurus. I only have quite a few subscriptions that I really look forward to.
Let me name my favorites...
She's a celebrity makeup artist and makes really lovely tutorials.

They are professional makeup artists and makes more dramatic looks.

(sorry the picture is smaller than the others. It's the only one I can find.)
She's fun to watch, and I learn a lot from her tips. She always makes me laugh.

He's a professional makeup artist and gives a lot of affordable alternatives to more expensive brands. Plus, I love his wink at the end ;-)

Don't get me wrong. I watch a lot of makeup-related video's on YouTube on a daily basis from different sources. But these personalities I mentioned above are the one's I really enjoy watching the most. I always look forward to when their videos will finally come out of my subscription bar.

I highly recommend you check them out. Click on their names to be linked directly to their channels. I guarantee you, you won't be disappointed.

So, who are your favorite YouTubers?

MAC Pigments Part1

I finally received my MAC Pigments from thebodyneeds2.
I just didn't have the time to post swatches because I had deadlines to catch from school.
But anyway, I made a video and from there you will see the swatches.
Please watch out for more and better swatches soon.

As for the authenticity of these pigments, I cannot affirm or deny anything as I do not own any MAC pigments bought from MAC, nor have I owned any MAC pigments before.

As soon as I have them, I promise to swatch them side by side for you to see.

Depotting My MAC Eyeshadows

In the attempt of depotting my eyeshadows, I used my hair straightener to do the job. Sadly it didn't work out :-(

It didn't warm up enough for me to lift the label and the tin pan from the eyeshadow container.

But I didn't loose hope. I thought, why not use my bread toaster?!!!

It was a brilliant idea. My depotting went on smoothly and fast.

Here's a short video of how I have done it.

In the process, one eyeshadow's glue was so stubborn that I end up breaking one.

It was my MAC Shroom. But I shouln't worry as I am positive I can still save it.

There goes my poor Shroom. :-(

From now on, I think I will be buying only MAC eyeshadow refills. It's economical and easy to put on a palette.

It all depends on one's preference anyway.

Have you ever depotted an eyeshadow? How was your experience?
