Clinique Vitamine C Lip Smoothie

Clinique introduces it's newest lip product. It is the Vitamin C lip smoothie and it is enriched with antioxidant. That really sounds like this product is fully pact with only the best ingredients our lips could possibly need. I cannot say that all what it promises are true, but there is only one thing I can say -  I love it.

It is a lip gloss/lip stain and comes in a modern packaging where you have to twist the pen to extract the product. This is quite new to me. It comes in 8 shades and I chose the color number 6 Pink Me Up. It is so pretty. The coverage is sheer to medium. It shows some pearly particles but nothing too distracting or dramatic. Just moderate and very wearable. It is unscented which is good for those who are sensitive to perfumes.

The only downside to this is that it is expensive. This retails at 16 euros at Douglas but I got 10% discount because I own their loyalty card. Well Clinique is never cheap but you certainly will get good value for your money.

Will I repurchase this? I hope so - only when I find a better deal. For now, I have enough products on my hands to play with.

What do you think about this product?

Eyeko Fat Balms

So I finally got my first Eyeko products all the way from London. I picked their 3 Fat Balms for lips and cheeks taking advantage of their 3 for 2 offer. They are in Minty, Strawberry, and Raspberry. For lip balms, they are richly pigmented and make my lips feel really soft and moisturized.

What I noticed is the tingly feel I get with the Minty Balm. It leaves a very cool and fresh finish I have never experienced in any lip products.

Not only are these good for the lips, but it also can be dabbed on the cheeks for a natural flush and it stays all day.
And here are the swatches

Minty Fat Balm

Strawberry Fat Balm

Raspberry Fat Balm

Minty, Strawberry, Raspberry

At 6 euros each, it is expensive for a lip balm. But when you avail of their 3 for 2 offer, you get to save a lot. They deliver worldwide for free which is a big bonus. On top of that, I used the special Ambassador Code E8136 and got myself a gift. That was the  Beauty Rehab Spearmint Lip Balm

It retails at  ASOS at 3.79 euros while I got this for free. It is a gel formula that gives moisture to the lips and fresh breath because of the spearmint oil. Feels like you've just brushed your teeth. Great thing about this is that it does not contain petroleum and chemicals - all natural, it claims.

SO what's your take on this? What's your favorite lip balm?

Goodbye split ends, hello shiny volumized hair.

For a long time I had been using baby shampoo for my hair. At least that was what my dermatologist advised me to use since my hair is oily and it sheds like crazy. He did some blood tests but couldn't find anything wrong. It is probably just hormones. Hair shedding is common to women he said and my skin is just oily. And that is not my only complain. Since my hair is straight, it just lies flat with no volume at all. And in the winter my hair is über static. It sticks to my couch, the wall and literally just to anything. And guess what this caused me? Split ends!!! Grrr.

Good thing I discovered L'oreal Elvive Re-Nutrition with Royal Jelly. It is a leave-on conditioner and I apply this on my towel-dried hair. It has a pleasant smell and it protects my hair from splitting. I know that a hair dresser's visit is a must at least once a month to trim those bad split ends but with this baby, I don't have to. That's a savings in disguise isn't it? I have been religiously using this product for 2 years now and been through a few bottles already. One bottle can last up to 6 months , depending on how you use it of course. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Now back to the flat, thin hair. I know of many people with great looking hair say they use Pantene Pro V. So when I was at my drugstore, what the heck I picked myself a Patene Pro V shampoo and a conditioner. I thought I won't loose anything if I tried.

When I finally used it, omg - I love it. My hair has now more volume and body than ever. No exaggeration, please. Just pure awesomeness. It also made my hair so shiny but not oily. Do you get what I mean?

I'm happy I finally found the best hair care routine that suits my needs. And I'm sticking with it.

Clinique 3 Step System

All my life I have suffered from severe acne. I even get occasional visits every now and then. I wish I had known the Clinique 3 Step System ages ago.

I have been using this for 2 months now and I am absolutely loving it. The system includes:

1. mild facial soap - very smooth to the skin
2. clarifying lotion - refreshing and dries out all of your excess oil
3. dramatically different moisturizing gel - not greasy to the skin.

The Positive
* It prevents me from breaking out.
* My skin loves it.
* Although my skin is far from perfect, it makes it feel soft and radiant.

The Negative
* The price. It is expensive. At first I bought it in a box for 30 euros. But when I finished it I had to purchase the full size. Each one of them is not cheap.

My face is the first thing that people see. It is my business card. It is just a little investment for a lifelong self confidence.

What is your skin care routine? I would love to know your secret.

Catrice's London's Weather Forecast

You see it already, they are rich and vibrant colors.

I completely did not intend to buy any cosmetics when I was at my nearby drugstore. All I wanted was just a kitchen and bathroom cleaner. But because I am girl, (what a shallow reason!) I wandered around just to see if there are any nice stuff worth trying out. Thank God I'm a girl, and thank goodness I wandered around. I just found the perfect gray nail polish I have been looking for in a long while, I just couldn't find it anywhere. At long last I found it! I am like a little girl who finally found the perfect toy she's been longing for. Duh - I am a girl and I am still little!

Well, it is Catrice's #280 London's Weather Forecast. When I found their new nail polish collection, I was ecstatic. Couldn't explain how happy I was. I know I love OPI nail polishes, but with Catrice's new range of colors, I guess my wallet can breathe from € 13,99 per bottle of OPI. This is a great bargain at € 2,49 per bottle. The consistency is amazingly great and it applies so easily. With just one coat you will get quite good coverage already. The applicator is wide almost like that of OPI. Perfect nails at a bargain!

Please excuse the imperfections of my DIY application ;-P I'm just an amateur and not a professional manicurist - but that's obvious.

Which one is your favorite color?

Chanel Rouge Coco

The make up addict in me kept whispering in my ear to get me one of Chanel's newest addition to their lipstick range. It's the Chanel Rouge Coco. I got mine in # 4 Cashmere and it's the perfect color that's almost similar to my own lips. I am so happy to own this and it's my first ever Chanel lipstick. It is definitely a very expensive lipstick and my poor wallet is protesting to this huge splurge. But once in a while it is not bad to indulge as long as it is within my means.

What can I say about the product itself? It feels smooth when applied and very moisturizing. It is quite pigmented and does not have any strong perfume nor a foul smell. The sleek packaging certainly gives a touch of luxury with the Chanel logo. This lipstick lasts on my lips for quite a long time until I eat. But all lipsticks does that, right?

For blogging purposes I wore this lipstick alone on this picture and nothing else.

There is just something with lipstick formulation that dries out my lips, that is why I always need to apply a lip base under the lipstick and a lip gloss on top of the lipstick. All lipsticks does this to me not only this Chanel one.

Have you tried this lipstick? Which one and how was it?
