TKB Trading
The past two weeks have been an obsession on whether or not to buy the cosmetic micas from TKB Trading. When I finally decided to place an order, I experienced technical problems. Duh. Well, I am also part to blame for being so tech-challenged!
Anyhow, the order was finally placed today and I can't wait for the package to arrive.
Guess I will have to start dreaming about how gorgeous those colors are.
The possibility of mixing my own eyeshadows and pressing them on my palette is just a joy to my heart!
I hope I won't be disappointed.
Which micas from TKB Trading do you have and love?
Soon to Come...
So here's what you can expect soon. Yes it's a haul from
In it will be MAC pigments in sample sizes to try out before buying the full size ones.

Forever 21 Haul and Review
Why are people crazy about Forever 21? Is it because of their cheap prices? I personally don't think their regular prices are cheap at all. (Except when they're on sale!)
Because of this curiosity I have always wanted to purchase from their website since there aren't any Forever 21 stores here in The Netherlands. Until just recently, they never shipped to this country. So as soon as I learned that they already do for 6 Euros, I grabbed my chance.
This is certainly my perfect opportunity to find out how they keep their popularity.
Here are what I picked from their sale..
Some people say that they are U.S.A.'s version of HM.
After seeing these clothes rather up close and tried them out, I would say that it's true.
I can't say that these clothes are of high quality. It is a good option though when one wants to follow fashion on a budget.
How is your experience with Forever 21?
MAC Satin Taupe
Here's my current favorites MAC eyeshadow...
It is very wearable and appropriate for work when applied very subtle and when applied a little bit more, it's perfect for a night out.
Perfect worn alone or in combination with other shades.
I applied MAC Bare Study underneath as base and to keep the eye shadow last longer.
What's your favorite shade?

AVON
Avon is a brand that has been direct selling for 125 years in 100 countries worldwide. I grew up with my immediate surrounding using their products.
But since I don't know anyone in Holland who sells them I have decided to ask my mother to buy some for me. Ordering from a Dutch website was not an option because
1. they are very expensive compared to how much they are in the Philippines,
2. the online seller didn't look reliable to me.
3. all these products would probably cost 1 Avon eyeshadow quad in Holland.
On to the goodies...
My video on YouTube is now streaming, so go ahead and check it out here.
Benefit's Finding Mr Bright
When my local Sephora offered 25% off on all makeup items, I grabbed my chance and picked this up.
It's a great way to try out all the products inside this kit without breaking the bank because the full sizes of these products are expensive on their own. Original price was 29 Euros less 25%, you do the math ;-p
It contains mini sample sizes of Benefit's highly popular illuminators such as Girl Meets Pearl, Posie Tint, High beam, and Erase Paste.
A liquid pearl for face.
A poppy-pink tinted lip and cheek stain.
A luminescent complexion enhancer.
A brightening camouflage for eyes and face.
Have you tried any of these? Which one is your favorite?
MAC Paintpot in Bare Study
This new paint pot of mine is so lovely. It is versatile and multipurpose.
I use it as a base to make my eye shadow last all day and it does last all day!
It is also good on it's own. It gives a lovely sheen and polished look. Definitely great for when I'm in a hurry and just can't be bothered layering different shades on.
Have you tried this? What's your favorite pain pot?
Julia's Pasta
I can live eating pasta because I love pasta. mmm... So before my friend and I decided to hop off on a train in Amsterdam to go back home, we decided to have our dinner at the train station for convenience. She suggested we went to Julia's Pasta where they prepare their food in front of you while you wait.
So here's how it went. We made our order and paid out at the same time at the cashier. (The queue was long!) We were then given our receipts and were instructed to give them to the ladies who were preparing the pasta next to her. After we have given our receipts we then waited for our orders to be called out.
Their pastas were pre-cooked and were placed in individually sealed cellophanes, and were then boiled for each order. Their sauces were also pre-made.
Did it taste good? Well, as a food lover, I am very particular with my food. I ordered whole wheat penne with carbonara sauce. At home I make spaghetti carbonara all the time. So I know how it should taste. I think that they are expensive for what one gets. It is commercialized and I don't think the food tastes good at all. They are stingy with the sauce and the ingredients in general. The pasta itself was a little bit under done.
Can you see that there barely was any sauce on my pasta? What a shame!
I can understand that the rent for their location must be really expensive. But I don't believe that the quality should suffer from the company's fixed costs. If they want people to flock to their business, they should at least work on their food first.
It's a good alternative when you are fed up with the usual food that you get on train stations though. But that would be it. There would be no repeat purchase.
Have you been there? Did you like it?
My Lovely Amsterdam Finds
Silly me just managed to block my debit card while I was in Amsterdam. Great! For the love of me I just couldn't figure out what my pin code was. After 3 fails and it was blocked. Boohoo. So my friend and I walked to the bank and interestingly whent inside a shop just past Madame Tussaud's. They sold jewelries from different kinds. Luckily I had some money left on my wallet. I just couldn't resist.
Here's what I got...
Yeah I know. They don't look good together and trust me I won't wear them all at once! :-p
So which one do like best?
