Parfumerie & Drogeristerij van Weijen Barendrecht

Do you know where you can find Revlon makeup products in The Netherlands? I didn't until I discovered Parfumerie & Drogeristerij van Weijen in Barendrecht. I was in Barendrecht last January to pick up my new pair of eye glasses and was surprised to see that this shop sells Revlon products. So for those of you who are eager to try them out, then maybe you can give them a vist at Middenbaan 77.

They do not only carry normal drugstore products but also high-end ones such as Clinique, Estee Lauder, Dior, Chanel, Shiseido, La Prairie, Clarins, Yves Saint Laurent, Lancôme among others.

Check their website for up to date information here .

Zoeva Very Croc Brush Set

I finally got my very first brush set today and I just can't wait to show them to you. They are very affordable but the brushes are super soft like no other. Whether or not they are of good quality, I just can't say that for now. I will need some time to try them out and you will be the first to know.

I ordered this on Monday and I received this today (Friday), which means it took 5 days for it to arrive from Germany. They ship worldwide and I paid 5.50 Euros for the shipping.

I am so excited to try this out. I made a short video unboxing this baby. So go and check it out HERE

Have you tried this brand? What would you recommend is your finest brush?

Nederlandse M.A.C. Website

photo borrowed from http://beautyboudoir.files.wordpress.com/2010/10/mac-cosmetics-logo.jpg

The long wait is over. It has finally come! M.A.C. has finally opened it's Dutch website.

The website is of course in Dutch and the videos are subtitled. It is clear though that it is still on its beta phase because when I scrolled through its products link, I didn't get to see the actual products but just a brief description of each category.

Aside from that, one thing I really miss is the webshop. Although I live in a city where there are two M.A.C. counters, I just wish for the amazing M.A.C. products to be just a click away.

So I guess it's just a matter of waiting and keeping our fingers crossed!

Are you excited about website, too?

BB Cream

Asian girls have gone crazy over this. If you watch Asian girls on YouTube you probably have heard of this one. The hype has definitely intrigued me and made me want to buy this. I am talking about the BB Cream.

When I read about it, it just seemed too good to be true. Since many good things are not available in Holland, I looked for it on my ever dependable e-bay. And so there it was, and I ordered straight from Seoul, Korea. I paid 10 Euros. It was delivered to me very quickly which was amazing plus shipping was free. Aside from that I got free stuff along with it as well.

So what's BB cream by the way?

It's a Blemish Balm and it's supposed to do tons of good things to your skin. In short, a miracle worker. That's why I said, it sounds too good to be true. There are many different types of BB Creams to choose from and from different brands.

What do I think about it?

I tried this on its own and gave me a lovely glowy, dewy finish which I adore. Since I have terribly dry and patchy skin, that's why the word dewy hangs on my forehead. I love anything that will give me that moist. I just hate dry skin!

Anyway, this applies smoothly and you only need a little amount to cover the whole face.

Downside

The coverage is poor. It does not cover any imperfection. Another thing is that it has a limited color range. This in particular came in 2 shades (or maybe 3), one was lighter and I chose the darker. But this still looked too light for me. Since I bought this over the internet, I know I was risking picking up the wrong color for my skin type. That was the chance I had to take.

For now, I use this under my foundation for that glowy look I love. It makes me think that the foundation has something to cling on to and make it last longer. I made it serve as a primer!

Jemma Kidd Fashion Junkie Eye Palette

It's been a while since my last post! I apologize for the lack of update. It's just that I have been very busy with my new school and it is demanding most of my time. I should really be posting regularly so I can update you with my great finds.

Anyway, whilst watching pixiwoo on YouTube, I got interested in one of the products they say was amazing. At first it put me off because it is an English brand and I was afraid it won't be available in Holland. I don't have anything against English brands, it's just that they might not be available here or might not ship to here.

So I looked for it on the internet and luckily I found a webshop in Holland that sells it. It's the Jemma Kidd Fashion Junkie Eye Palette. I paid 20 Euros for it + shipping. I have no idea whether or not I paid too much for it. I just know that I had to have it. Just see for yourself. The beauty will speak for itself.

Chicken Curry for Dinner

There is one thing that I am very passionate about - food. I love food.

Tonight I made my very own version of Chicken Curry. In fact, I am writing this blog on a full stomach. (shame on me!) It was delicious.

Allow me to show you how it looked like as soon as I placed it on the table.

Chicken Curry

Ingredients

chicken thighs
onions
carrots
potatoes
green peas
chicken stock
turmeric
curry
cream
salt
pepper

When I cook, I am not very particular with measurements unless I am baking. I just feel and taste. What matters most is that it tastes good and that makes me happy.

What's your favorite dish?

Sephora Doe Eyed Felt Eyeliner

I have always wanted to try liquid eyeliners. I did bought one once, but the tiny applicator freaked me out. I got scared, knowing how clumsy I am, that the formula will get into my eyes and will get me blind. Ha! I bet you think I am crazy.

The felt tip applicator that this eyeliner comes with though is not that scary. I tried it, practiced a lot, and I love it.

This stays all day and does not transfer even without any eye base. I have this in black and I get black. Unlike other eyeliners that promise to give you black and all you get is just maybe grayish or watery black.

Another plus factor to this product is that this is PARABEN -free - if it matters to you.

One thing I am not a fan of this is that I have to shake this very often to get the product to come out. Just like sign pens I suppose.
